1.11 A Bundle of Joy

I forgot to mention, because I was just so tired after my vacation, that when I got home I noticed a new addition to our studio space. Brennen apparently went out and bought a woodworking table. Or well, he claims he found it at a neighbor’s garage sale, and that it wasn’t that expensive. And I do trust my husband. He knows we can’t spend too much with baby number three on the way. He’s hoping that maybe he can make our dining room table and chairs himself, so he don’t have to spend too much on a set for our family. And if he gets good enough, maybe we could even sell some of it and earn money that way like I do with my painting. Though, we’ll see because he does just love playing on his guitar. Might need to just set a time for him to work every day.

He also found an activity table for the boys. Now they can spend time drawing themselves while their Mommy paints. It looked a little banged up, but I think it’s still a great find. And the boys really seem to love it. Every time I look over there, one of them is using it.  Though, then the brother sulks, so we may have to try and find a way to afford another table later on, give them a second table to work at. Or I saw a chemistry set, so maybe later down the line we’ll get them one of those. Though, I don’t know why Sirius is pouting while Orion draws, because his violin is in the studio and he could be practicing on that instead.

Every great artist needs a little time to sit and watch television with their family though. Or, well, at least this great artist. Orion continued to draw while his brother stopped sulking and came to watch with me, and talk to him a little. School has been going well for him, and with pushing him to do his homework a little more he’s nearly an A student. His father and I have said that he’s allowed one treat if he can get his grades to be A’s. So he’s really excited to try.

Once everyone went to bed, I figured I would paint for a little bit. We’re trying to save up enough money to renovate the house. We still need a second bathroom, and we need a third bedroom for our baby on the way. Which means that I get to paint, paint, and paint. Good think that it’s my passion and I love to paint. I painted through most of the night before I finally called it a night and went to bed.

Brennen whistled at me come morning. He thinks I look sexy big and pregnant, part of me thinks he’s fill of it because I just feel really huge right now. But it’s sweet of him to make sure I know what he thinks, and how he enjoys seeing me like this. Though, list most things, I need to grab a bite before I can really function. Food for baby and I are like the morning coffee for regular people.

Instead of eating on the couch though, the two of us decided to eat in bed and just rest a little. It was nice and quiet because the boys were out at school, though our quiet time was interrupted fairly soon after it started by me going into labor. Never a dull moment around here, really.

Third time is apparently the charm though, because Brennen wasn’t as panicked as he’d been in the past. Instead, he was actually reasonably calm, and checked me in at the front desk while I waddled over to it. The place was pretty empty so she had me head on over to the room and wait on the doctor.

I probably shouldn’t be surprised that it was the ghost doctor that looked after me when I gave birth to Orion.

I’d be really curious to find out exactly what kind of contract he signed with the hospital that he continues to serve it even after death. Or maybe it’s just because he really loves working here and delivering babies. Who knows. But either way, he is an amazing doctor.

He helped me bring in my beautiful baby girl, Cassiopeia into this world.

It will be even more imperative to get that third bedroom made so she’ll have somewhere to sleep once she’s a little girl and not our baby, but for now we’ll keep her in our room for easier watching and caring over. I’m just so excited to have this baby girl. Until next time.
